Dr Megan Pillay

Dr Megan recently moved back to the Wollondilly region from the Mid North Coast. She graduated from UNSW in 2015 and completed her medical internship and residency at Campbelltown Hospital. She then completed her General Practice training in the Mid North Coast and obtained her Fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2021. She has an interest in patients with chronic disease, and women’s health. She also has an interest in skin cancer medicine and holds a Professional Certificate of Skin Cancer Medicine. She is committed to training the next generation of GPs and is an accredited supervisor with the RACGP and a Conjoint Associate Lecturer at UNSW.

Dr Megan has a special interest in the following areas:

Her hobbies include playing tennis, running and baking macarons.

Dr Khalid Hassan

Dr. Khalid Hassan is a seasoned General Practitioner with over 11 years of diverse clinical experience. His journey in the world of medicine began at Cairo University, where he earned his medical degree, and it has since taken him on a fulfilling path across various healthcare settings in Egypt and Australia.

Throughout his career, He had the privilege of working in a wide range of clinical environments, including bustling general practice clinics, the fast-paced hospital wards, and the adrenaline-filled emergency rooms. These experiences have honed his skills and equipped him to handle a myriad of medical scenarios with confidence and precision.

He is a proud member of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP), a testament to my commitment to upholding the highest standards of medical practice in Australia.

He is deeply passionate about providing comprehensive care to individuals and families, with a focus on family medicine, preventive medicine, and chronic diseases management. His mission is to empower patients to take control of their health and well-being through personalised healthcare plans.

In his practice, he prioritise holistic health, addressing not only physical but also mental and emotional aspects. He takes a keen interest in men’s health, women’s health, and children’s health, recognising that each stage of life requires unique care and attention.

Beyond the medical realm, He finds joy in a variety of interests. Cooking is not just a hobby but a form of relaxation and creativity for him. Swimming, bushwalking, cycling, and reading are his outlets for staying physically active and mentally engaged. Poetry is his sanctuary, a way to express his thoughts and emotions through words.

Dr Akmal Syafiq

BMed, MPH, FRACGP

I am an Australian rural trained GP with 10 years experience working in different healthcare settings namely the Central Coast and South Coast NSW after graduating from University of Newcastle in 2015. I have a special interest in population health, chronic disease management, geriatric medicine, urgent care medicine and focused psychological counselling. I am passionate about health coaching & healthy habits.

Outside of work, I enjoy swimming, reading fiction and event organising for the local community. I speak English, Malay & Indonesian.
